Support Emergency Response Room’s vital work in Sudan

NOK

More than 150,000 people have lost their lives since the war began. Thirty million people – over half of the country’s population – require humanitarian aid. Twenty-five million are facing acute food insecurity. Women and children are disproportionately affected, including by an alarming rise in gender-based violence.

In a desperate effort to save lives, ordinary Sudanese citizens took matters into their own hands and formed self-help groups that, through the Emergency Response Rooms in Sudan (ERR), provide services that ensure basic survival, welfare, and human dignity.

In this critical situation, ERR volunteers continue to deliver life-saving mutual aid, strengthen local communities, and keep hope for a democratic Sudan alive under nearly impossible conditions. Emergency Response Rooms in Sudan save lives and protect human dignity in a country marked by suffering and despair. Despite this, they receive far too little support for their vital work.

All donations to the Rafto Foundation up to February 28 will go to support the work of the Emergency Response Rooms in Sudan.
